Position Overview:
AES is looking for a full-time Horticulture Assistant at our Brodhead WI location to begin work on or around March 1, 2013. This is a limited-term position lasting from approximately early March through mid-November 2013.
Responsibilities:
This position will participate in all tasks related to the native plant industry:
- Order filling;
- Seed collection;
- Inventory maintenance; and
- Operating combines, tractors, planters, forklift, cultivators, trucks and other farm equipment.
Additional Information:
- Hours are subject to weather and client demands but are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
- The main nursery season is March thru November. This is a great opportunity to get experience in the horticulture/native plant industry.
- A copy of your driving record for the last 3 years is required.
Qualifications:
- Some pre-employment screening is required;
- Candidate must be able to meet physical requirements of the job;
- Candidate must obtain certain certifications including (but not limited to) DOT/CMV physical for operating commercial vehicles;
- Candidate must take a pre-employment drug screen.
