Position Overview:

We are passionate about sustainability, including meeting the goals of the AIA 2030 Commitment, and are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented LEED Administrator to prepare and coordinate the LEED documentation of retail projects for a key national client. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluation and review of project documentation for prerequisites and credits for compliance with LEED requirements. 
  • Interface with a wide range of internal and external team members, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors and commissioning agents.
  • Set-up and staff/consultant training for LEED-Online document repository site. 
  • Coordination of LEED documentation and quality control of work with project managers and our in-house Sustainability Manager. 
  • Familiarity with technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies. No phone calls, please. 

Qualifications:

  • LEED AP accreditation (with BD+C specialty preferred)
  • Experience documenting projects on LEED Online v3
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including direct client interaction. 
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in retail store development, construction, or architecture. 
  • Experience with a variety of high-performance building projects, including LEED projects. 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret building floor plans, sections, site plans, zoning maps, interior furniture and finish plans, construction specifications and operational policies. 
  • Detailed technical understanding of and experience with common environmental building codes and standards relevant to specialty , (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62, ASHRAE 55, UPC/IPC 2006, Title 24, IECC, GreenGuard Certification, Green Seal, ANSI/SMACNA 008-2008, NPDES, NEPA, NFIP, ASTM E1903-07 Phase II ESA, NatureServe, HUD) a plus. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate progress of task completion. 
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills with multiple competing priorities.
