Marketing Content Writing Internship

Position Overview:

Green Education Foundation (GEF) is seeking a talented writer interested in sustainability education to contribute to content creation for GEF's digital platforms based on the marketing team's strategic outline and priorities, including fulfilling sponsor agreements. This position reports to the Director of Programs and Marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Write 2-3 blog posts per week
• Draft and upload press releases as needed (1/week)
• Research relevant topics for articles then write and publish one per week
• Engage GEF's online audience by commenting on blogs daily

Qualifications: 

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate is in their junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree program, or in a Master's program, and has some experience with sustainability issues or education
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Expertise in Microsoft Word/Office
• Proficient with social media tools and applications
• Ability to work in the Walpole office at least once per week

Desired:

• Self-starter excited to contribute to GEF's mission
• Creative and innovative approach to projects
• Experience in web editing, especially Joomla
• Experience with blog platforms, especially WordPress

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. GEF is able to complete any necessary requirements for the intern to earn academic credit. The internship is for a period of 3-4 months, 15-20 hours per week. The intern writer is expected to work in the East Walpole office at least 1 days per week with the opportunity to work remotely the rest of the week.
