Position Overview:
The Site Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing the service, repair, maintenance, and operations of wind turbine generators and their related support equipment by contract maintenance personnel. The individual will also coordinate, schedule, and oversee BOP activities such as facility maintenance, road maintenance, collection system maintenance, and substation maintenance.
Some additional duties include the development of and compliance with an operating budget, outage coordination and scheduling, oversee operations and maintenance to ensure work is carried out using prudent utility practices and in accordance with contractual agreements, maintain public and landowner relationships, manage turbine performance and warranty agreements, and establish spare part quantities and supplies for the wind turbine generators and BOP.

Responsibilities:
- Administers contracts and manages all on-site contractor activities (WTG & BOP).
- Maintains the site within regulatory compliance of all federal, state, and local regulations and associated permits, including all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations.
- Addresses site concerns from local, state, and federal agencies.
- Participates in the development of an annual O&M Budget and manage the site in accordance with the budget.
- Performs weekly and quarterly substation battery checks and substation building inspections.
- Performs HV switching in the substation, collection system, and turbines.
- Performs minor maintenance and parts replacement on substation main transformer components.
- Implements, manage, update, and maintain plant procedures, site policies, training programs, safety programs, and work practices.
- Performs minor facility (BOP) maintenance.
- Develops scheduled maintenance PM's in the WAM (Synergen) CMMS database. Perform PM activities and close out PM's in accordance with NERC compliance tracking requirements.
- Submits monthly and quarterly NERC GADS compliance reports.
- Oversees and administers site computer hardware/software systems including the work asset management systems, PI, and plant SCADA systems.
- Performs Safety Observation Surveys on work being performed at the site.
- Manages warehouse and inventory program.
- Develops and implements processes and procedures to assure compliance with internal controls.
- Possesses excellent project management skills to be utilized in the execution of assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
Essential Functions:
Candidates must be proficient in computer programs to include: Microsoft Office products with a strong emphasis on excel, Work Asset Management (WAM), plant SCADA systems, and possess IT knowledge. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, have good oral and written communication skills, project management skills, and experience in directing a team. Candidates must be able and willing to climb 80 meter steel towers to fulfill the duties described herein.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in industrial and or wind turbine maintenance including basic equipment overhaul and maintenance program development. Experience in direct supervision of others and high voltage switching is preferred. Prior experience in wind site management strongly preferred but not required. A related degree may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Compensation: Pay Grade: E $68,200 - $85,300 - $102,400; DD - $74,800 - $93,500 - $112,200
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
