Fall Environmental Campaign Outreach Intern

EarthShare, a nationwide network of America's leading non-profit environmental and conservation organizations, works to promote environmental education and charitable giving through workplace giving campaigns.

Position Overview:

EarthShare is seeking a full-time intern(s) to attend charitable campaign fairs throughout the DC metropolitan area. Additional duties will include: speaking before groups and individuals at charity fairs, compiling and mailing campaign materials, assisting with campaign related office work, and research. Intern must be a self-motivated individual with who can work independently with limited supervision.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, feel comfortable talking to people, have excellent organizational skills, and be familiar with Microsoft word and excel. As this position involves extensive local travel to and from events, a personal vehicle is required. Knowledge of environmental issues a plus.

Compensation & Benefits: This is an unpaid internship, but selected candidate(s) will be reimbursement for any direct travel costs for campaign events attend.

Hours Per Week: 20
Start Date: Aug 15th, 2012 (or when filled)
End Date: Nov 29th, 2012

Start date and end date are flexible.
