The Department of Environmental Earth Science at Eastern Connecticut State University's primary objective is to prepare its majors for positions as Environmental Technicians/Scientists, Environmental Analysts, or Earth Science Teachers. Prospective teachers should consult the Education Department for certification requirements. The department also encourages its majors to pursue graduate studies in related fields
Position Overview:
The Department invites applications for a 1-year full-time assistant professor (with Ph.D.) or instructor (with masters). The successful candidate will be re responsible for 12 faculty load credits/semester of teaching that includes a combination of Global Climate Change, Sustainable Energy, and Sustainable Energy Laboratory. Additional EES courses in Eastern's LAC Tier 1 or 2 curriculum or in support of the EES major are possible.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. (preferred) or Master's in Geoscience or related field. Teaching experience is preferred.

Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
