Bay Area Non Profit Seeks Ruby on Rails Programmer for One Time Project.
The Pachamama Alliance is a non-profit organization located in the Presidio of San Francisco, CA. Our mission is to empower indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest to preserve their lands and culture and, using insights gained from that work, to educate and inspire individuals everywhere to bring forth a thriving, just and sustainable world.

Position Overview:
The Pachamama Alliance seeks an entry- to mid-level Ruby on Rails programmer to engage in freelance or contract work to complete a custom web application that is currently about 60% built.
You will be working to complete our online guest registration software that is used for our annual fundraising luncheon. The software was started by a group of Computer Science students at UC Berkeley for a class project. Now that the course is over, we are seeking someone to complete what they begun.

Requirements:
- Experience in programming in Ruby on Rails
- Needs to be able to come into our office in the Presidio of San Francisco, CA on a couple occasions to consult with us in person
Would Be Nice:
- A desire to support non-profit work, specifically our type of work would be preferred
Compensation: Pay will be based on experience
Amount of Work: The amount of work for this project is not known for certain, and will be determined at the beginning of the project, but we estimate about 80 hours.
When: The work will engage from July to September with the project to be fully complete no later than September 1st, 2012
