Humanistic Cultural Services, Tzu Chi Foundation, U.S.A. has an immediate opening for EcoVerse Store Staff. EcoVerse Store Staff is responsible for promoting Tzu Chi's Humanistic Cultural Missions.
Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must also be able to work on weekends to fulfill position duties. In addition, reliable transportation with an acceptable driving record and a valid drivers' license is needed. Must pass the Department of Justice background check.
Position Overview:
Being green and being socially responsible are essential now. As employee, you will contribute to EcoVerse's success by providing excellent customer service and executing store sales, displays, events and operational goals to create and maintain the "EcoVerse Experience" for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of EcoVerse.
- Conduct sales transactions at the register.
- Provide customer service and introduce a sustainable lifestyle as it relate to EcoVerse.
- Prepare food and coffee while working in the café section.
- Check monthly inventory and provide accurate reports.
- Close daily sales transactions.
- Help set up and maintain store displays.
- Clean the store at the end of the day.
- Support the store manager for weekly workshops and seminars to promote sustainable life in the community.
- Complete other special projects as assigned by the store manager.
Qualifications:
- No previous experience required
- Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team
- Familiarity with MS Office.
- An eco-conscious and sustainable lifestyle is highly desirable.
Language Requirements: Knowledge of Chinese or Spanish will be a plus
