Position Overview:
GETF seeks an organized, highly motivated, results-oriented Controller to manage the accounting and financial reporting for our organization. Experience using Deltek accounting software (particulary Deltek GCS Premier) is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Coordinating all General Ledger data entries and managing accrual calculations and schedules (depreciation, FICA, PTO)
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries
- Reviewing, coding and managing Accounts Payable data entries
- Preparing weekly AP and cash balance reports
- Reviewing and comparing timesheets to program budgets
- Implementing new contracts in the accounting system
- Reviewing and computing monthly project revenues
- Coordinating with project managers on job cost reporting, budget variances, staff labor utilization and other financial reports as needed
- Developing price proposals and assisting in the packaging of RFPs
- Preparing monthly invoices and coordinating other billings with managers
- Tracking accounts receivable
- Providing auditors with detailed schedules and ad-hoc reporting during annual and government audits
- Managing Excel financial reports and utilizing accounting system databases
- Reconciling bi-weekly payrolls and annual reporting
- Assisting with the company's banking relationships and banking transactions
- Preparing month-end financial statements, quarterly consolidated financial statements, financial dashboards and other executive management reporting
- Tracking and budgeting indirect costs and rates
- Maintaining the company's fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Coordinating the analysis and purchase of new office equipment and software
- Tracking overhead expenses with operations staff
- Annual tax reporting (federal, state and local)
- Assisting with annual insurance program renewals
- Maintaining the organization's policies and procedures
- Coordinating with the contracting department on subcontractor budget tracking
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required
- 4-5 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a high proficiency in Excel
- Experience using Peachtree accounting software (in addition to Deltek software requirement listed above)
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize, manage others, meet external deadlines, and think critically
- Flexible and able to operate in fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to grow and change with the organization
Preferred:
- Federal contracting experience
- Non-profit experience
