Position Overview:

Numi is seeking a sales professional with experience in the sales of consumer branded products in the natural products industry. This key sales position is responsible managing the Company's Retail account sales efforts in the Eastern and Mid-West half of the U.S. and is pivotal to the sales growth of Numi Organic Tea in the grocery and natural food segments.

The Eastern Regional Sales Manager is responsible for a go to market strategy that will increase customer loyalty, distribution growth, and company profitability by continuing and building relationships with existing retailers, distributors and brokers. This includes development of an annual forecast, budget and sales plan. The Sales Manager actively manages bottoms up planning with each key account on an annual basis and sets quarterly and annual broker objectives.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Achieving and exceeding regional sales and profit goals.
  • Creation of dynamic account presentations and planning to grow business in Grocery and Natural products Market.
  • Present new items to accounts along with support programs.
  • Expand Numi's relationship and offerings within trade channels.
  • Further develop the broker relationship and revenue growth by ensuring Brokers are adequately trained on the Numi products, programs and annual/quarterly sales goals.
  • Forecast annual Budget for region sales and sales related expenses, and ongoing management of corresponding budget and regional profitability.
  • Participate in tradeshows on behalf of the Company as needed.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of regional sales experience in the Natural Products industry. This includes broker management experience. Ideally, will have held a previous regional or national position successfully selling consumer branded/packaged products and have current trade channel contacts.

  • Self-starter, highly motivated individual that can execute against Numi's core values and strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Initiation of idea generation and the ability to analyze and problem solve.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to make strong sales presentations and capable of closing a sale.
  • Successful people and relationship management skills in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in budget management, forecasting, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Strong Business systems - Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and CRM tools.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills.
  • Building a Brand and an understanding of CPG positioning or premium brands.
  • Works well under pressure while meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Business systems - Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point.
  • College Degree or equivalent experience.
