Human Resource Manager

Position Overview:

Now accepting applications for a part-time Human Resources Manager to guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for Elysian Energy. This position offers the opportunity to work with the staff of the area's largest energy efficiency company to help homeowners reduce their environmental impact while saving on their energy bills.  The Human Resources Manager reports to the Cheif Financial Officer/Cheif Operations Officer, and is based out of our Silver Spring office.

Responsibilities: 

Current Employee Responsibilities:

• Ensure career development of current employees
• Perform regular check-ins with employees on- and off-site
• Track vacation time of current employees
• Review/prepare timesheets for entry
• Maintain personnel files
• Manage the evaluation/employee review process
• Act as third party between employees and management
• Handle internal complaints/conflict resolution
• Track employee certifications and Continuing Education Units
• Know about and coordinate compliance with OSHA and other workplace standards

New Employee Responsibilities:

• Post jobs and collect resumes in order to develop a superior workforce
• Perform orientation for new employees
• Act as health insurance representative
• Create personnel files

Supervision:

This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities (potential for supervisory positions if there are multiple Human Resource staff in the future).

This person will be responsible for communicating and resolving conflicts between parties at Elysian Energy.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, energetic, personable and self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for contributing to the sustainability movement. Other qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1-3 years professional experience in Human Resources

Compensation: Compensation based on experience.
