Located in Emeryville, CA, Scientific Certification Systems is a global leader in third-party environmental, sustainability and food quality certification, auditing, testing and standards development. Position Overview:

This position specializes in third-party assurance that products are designed, manufactured, and perform to stringent requirements.  Our team of environmental analysts work directly with clients in a variety of ways: visiting factories to assess manufacturing processes, analyzing supply chains, evaluating laboratory results, preparing reports, providing technical assistance on developing certification standards.   

In addition to job training, there will be continuous opportunities for learning about corporate sustainability, manufacturing systems, and product design.   This position requires up to 25% travel, both international and domestic.

Qualifications: 

This position requires:

  • Bachelor's degree, with strong preference for science or engineering.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills,
  • Previous professional work experience;
  • Proficient computer skills and experience working with Outlook, Word, Excel and data base systems. 
  • An abiding interest in sustainability, green building, materials use, indoor air quality, and related environmental issues;
  • Ability to work regular business hours, 5 days per week in our Emeryville office.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Fluency in English

  • Master a large amount of complex information quickly.
