Commercial Marketing Associate

Clean Currents is one of the Mid Atlantic's leading green energy marketing companies. The company, founded in 2005, is based in Rockville, Maryland. Position Overview: 

Use your communication and marketing skills to increase the demand of businesses, faith institutions, schools, and non profits for green energy!

We are looking for an energetic, articulate, highly organized person who is ready to help build a socially responsible company from the ground up. If you're willing to take a chance with us, and like to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

The position will report to the Marketing Director. S/he will be responsible for the following:

• Help craft and execute marketing plan to promote Company's products to existing commercial customers and prospects.
• Work with direct sales and account management teams to understand their needs and needs of existing commercial customers.
• Bottom line marketing tactics and be responsible for executing marketing plan on the commercial side of the Company.
• Develop new ways for Company and direct sales team to reach prospects, including researching and building prospect lists in target areas.
• Assist in other company marketing efforts

Qualifications: 

Must Have:

• High energy, positive personality and willingness to work hard
• Amazing verbal and written communications skills
• At least 2-3 years of demonstrated marketing experience
• Knowledge of digital marketing channels, including social media
• Passion for the environment
• Proven ability to be a self-starter
• Excellent organizational skills
• Desire to speak to diverse group of business owners and others.
• Leadership skills and/or experience
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of the electricity industry
• Sales experience is a plus

Compensation: Salary based on experience. This is a junior to mid level position. Benefits: Vacation, health care, and personal days, plus a green benefit package.
