Solar Module Line Process Engineer

In the background of global energy shortage and growing demand of new energy, ExSaf Corporate decides to launch solar energy project, enter into clean energy industry, and engage in R&D, manufacturing and sales of PV cells and modules.

Position Overview:

Design and coordinate the processes and equipment required to improve existing solar module production lines processes. Individual will be responsible for the successful implementation of technology, processes and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Support new solar module line installation and set-up, manage setup and development to enable consistent manufacturing and superior quality products.
• Support the transfer of solar process/equipment from manufacturing to production, including establishment of a repeatable, statistically controlled and well documented manufacturing process.
• Conduct process improvement projects on assigned equipment/process and ensure that all documentation is transferred completely.
• Perform root cause analysis and detailed tracking in order to develop and implement solar cell line process improvements.
• Approve acceptance criteria for equipment and technology between Exsaf, customer, and suppliers.
• Train internal personnel on solar module fabrication and testing processes. Document all processes.
• May act as Project Manager for independent module line projects.

Qualifications:

• BS in electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. MS preferred
• 5 years minimum experience in silicon solar cell processing or research
• 5+ years experience in technical manufacturing, consulting, or R&D within Solar
• Must have solar module lines equipment experience
• Demonstrated problem solving and innovative design skills
• Experienced with corrective action implementation routines
• Ability to manage projects and people to a schedule and travel domestically and internationally to China
• Hands on electro-mechanical trouble-shooting ability preferred
• Fluent in spoken and written English and (Mandarin would be a plus)
• Must be willing and able to travel internationally to China 4 times (30 days each time) per year
• Possession of a valid driver's license and US passport is required
