New Generation Energy is a Boston-based nonprofit that raises money for green energy projects such as solar, efficiency, and lighting. We use a crowd sourcing model to promote the benefits of green energy projects and to generate online support for them. Position Overview:
New Generation Energy is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic part-time Community Business Outreach Coordinator in the Boston area to help connect local businesses with green projects in their neighborhoods. You will be responsible for reaching out to small and medium sized businesses, teaching them about NGE and its projects, and getting them onboard as a local + GREEN supporter!
Responsibilities:
- Research business prospects in the Boston and Cambridge area
- Reach out to businesses about becoming a local + GREEN supporter
- Coordinate/communicate your program's progress at our weekly staff meeting
- Provide suggestions on how to evolve the program and develop additional program materials.
Qualifications:
- Employment experience in a related field
- Excellent relationship-building skills and strong presentation abilities
- Sales experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
- A passion for sustainability and green energy!
Please note that this is a part-time position, 16 to 20 hours per week, that has the potential to turn into a full-time position -- depending on success level. Perfect for college students graduating this spring!
