Geoscape Solar is a NJ solar energy company specializing in the installation of solar panels in residential, commercial, non-profit, and community solar power projects.

Position Overview:

Solar Sales Consultants are the face of Geoscape Solar for making direct contact with solar prospects.  You will be meeting in prospects homes and businesses, present the Geoscape Solar approach, a customized solar proposal, and work toward business closes.  This position is perfect for a driven, sales professional who is motivated by a strong incentive program.  POSITIONS ARE FOR TERRITORIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

We are looking for people that want a career with a solar company.  Our fast growing business culture will open many new future career opportunities for our Solar Sales Consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling residential, commercial, and/or non-profit solar systems
  • Sit a minimum of 10 appointments per week. Many will be at night and on weekends.
  • Prospect to supplement company generated leads with self generated leads
  • Prepare solar proposals for prospects
  • Explain the financial implications of solar purchases, leases, and financing.
  • Knowledgeably educate prospects and answer all solar related questions
  • Actively manage prospect pipeline in Salesforce.com
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas

Qualifications:

A Solar Sales Consultant should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Specific experience in B2B, B2C, and/or direct sales
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and general comfort using online tools. Salesforce.com knowledge a plus.
  • Must have ability to negotiate, follow through with customers, and close deals.
  • Demonstrated skill for prospecting and generating leads
  • Solar sales experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong verbal and oral communications skills
  • Comfort with math, financial calculations, and financing tools.
