Corporate Accountability International is a membership organization that protects people by waging and winning campaigns challenging irresponsible and dangerous corporate actions around the world. For over 30 years, we've forced corporations-like Nestlé, General Electric and Philip Morris/Altria-to stop irresponsible and dangerous actions.

Position Overview: 

This is a skills-building internship in which interns will take on significant projects to advance Corporate Accountability International's mission, including our Think Outside the Bottle Campaign, challenging corporate control of water, our Value [the] Meal campaign, challenging corporate abuse of our food and our Campaign Challenging Big Tobacco. The projects will be coupled with training sessions by senior staff on action planning, campaign research, media outreach, fundraising, and many other topics.

Internships are available with the campaigns, development, research, recruitment, finance, communications, media and new media teams.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to corporate accountability and/or progressive social change;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good organizational skills, self-motivated, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several tasks while meeting deadlines;
  • Experience in a high-energy campaign or non-profit setting preferable;

Location: Campaign Headquarters, Boston, MA
Internship Dates: January 23rd - May 4th 2012 or Summer 2012
Hours: Minimum commitment of 15-20 hours /week with occasional additional hours for events. Days are flexible depending on student schedule and internship manager needs.
Training: Classroom sessions and ongoing trainings will be provided by senior campaign staff.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship
