Ventana Cleantech has developed a disruptive technology for catalytic conversion of landfill-bound waste plastics into petroleum fuels which have attributes similar to diesel.

The company is based in India and is looking to establish the first commercial plant based on the technology in the US in the next 12-18 months. The current team is comprised of scientist & engineering experts from catalysis, petroleum & process design. The CEO is an ex Bay Area (CA) resident who travels to the valley frequently.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the technology and find ways that communicate this to the potential client.
  • Actively identify prospective businesses that can utilize our technology and initiate conversations at a CxO level with them. This includes material recycling facilities & waste management companies that are land-filling their mixed plastic wastes. Of interest also are industrial generators of mixed waste plastics (e.g. paper mills) who are currently paying a tipping fee for land-filling their wastes.
  • Establish contact with petroleum refinery companies in the US, provide them samples & lab reports and obtain from them an economic assessment of the fuel ($/barrel) .
  • Prepare presentations, case studies and suggest inputs to business plan for market penetration.
  • Actively research clean technology incubators in the Bay Area and synergize our relationship with them.
  • Research processes related to obtaining EPA / state level permits for environmental compliance. Suggest states in the US where permitting may be achieved favourably in a time-bound manner.
  • Identify engineering advisory firms in the US which provide detailed design & engineering services.
  • Collect and ship samples of mixed waste plastics from various potential clients and co-ordinate their visit to India for pilot trials.

Qualifications:

  • Your first sense on reading the above responsibilities should be "I can do this well". You should be able to evidently demonstrate to us your fit-to-job.
  • High learnability potential to understand the technology deeply.
  • An ability to make CxO level networking and an eloquence to communicate an innovative technology.
  • Most importantly you need to have great attention to detail, positive attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Assist with other projects when required.
