Head of Talent

Purpose.com, a ground-breaking social enterprise that builds movements to address major global challenges, is seeking a world-class Head of Talent to join and help expand our rapidly growing, internationally diverse, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Operations team at Purpose, you will:

• Use your exceptional talent sourcing skills to build pipelines of both active and passive candidates. Proactively seek out candidates through online research, leveraging of external relationships and industry contacts, and in-person networking.
• Collaborate with internal staff members to determine current hiring needs across multiple teams, as well as forecast future requirements for upcoming projects.
• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including: drafting position descriptions, managing job postings, reviewing resumes and conducting initial screenings, facilitating interviews with hiring managers, extending offers, and closing candidates.
• Develop, implement and manage an effective on-boarding program that emphasizes the importance of integrating new team members into the Purpose culture.
• Create performance review calendar and implement the evaluation process effectively across the organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and annually update a compensation strategy. Manage salary adjustments, bonuses and employee classifications.
• Coordinate with Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to manage employee benefits and issues around compliance.

Qualifications:

As an experienced talent professional, you are/have:

• At least 5 years experience as an HR manger, recruiter, or similar role.
• Proven ability to attract exceptional talent and build high-performing teams.
• Experience partnering with managers, interviewers, and team members throughout the hiring process.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
• And experienced and adept manager of very smart, multidisciplinary teams.
• Dynamic networker with capacity to act as outstanding externally-facing representative for Purpose.
• Able to translate goals into rapid action, solving problems and building systems simultaneously. You will need to be able to roll up sleeves and get work done.
• Deeply committed to our mission of building social movements to help solve some of the world's biggest challenges, with your own perspectives and passions on some of our core issues
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree, in business or related field, preferred.

Bonus if you have:

• Experience working in a start-up, fast paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong experience in an agency or client-service business.
• Experience sourcing business and/or strategy consultants, creatives, and technologists, or political organizers.
• A sophisticated understanding of emerging media and technology, and associated networks.

Compensation: Salary is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.  This is a full-time staff position.
