Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for an hourly Waste and Recycling Auditor to join our team! We are looking for an entry-level, detail-oriented individual to perform waste audits for a wide spectrum of organizations to include restaurants, hospitals, government and public sector entities, and private businesses. The Waste and Recycling Auditor will partner with business and community representatives to analyze waste streams, identify cost efficiencies, and provide technical assistance in scheduling and developing logistics, identifying obstacles, tracking and preparing report data and motivating behavior change.

This is an ideal position for an individual who has interest and understanding of the waste management and recycling business, enjoys working in the field, conducting quantitative analyses, and being a part of influencing key decision-makers on how to make positive changes towards more sustainable business practices.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but life experience may also suffice.
  • Project, volunteer or educational knowledge in the solid waste and recycling industry, or an equivalent. combination of education and experience.
  • Technology savvy to include proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google apps and cloud computing.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to creatively achieve waste reduction and sustainability goals.
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and individual management competence.
  • Positive attitude, works well with others at many levels.
  • Detailed oriented and analytical capability.
  • Problem solver and innovative thinker.
  • Ability to work independently with/without minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and driven with keen understanding of producing and delivering results.
  • Quick learner.
  • Above average technical writing skills.
  • Follows direction well.
