Position Overview:

ethicalDeal is Hiring a Community Care Specialist (Full-Time Position)

We're looking for a full-time Community Care Specialist to be our front line with customers, ensuring they have an exceptional, ethical shopping experience.

Do you love your GREEN city? Do you love turning a customer's experience around? Are you often described as friendly, charismatic and relatable? Do you exceed expectations on a daily basis? As the Community Care Specialist, you'll be based in our head office interacting with our community of ethicalShoppers who love to
discover their GREEN city through daily deals from local GREEN companies.

Responsibilities:

As a part of the our Community Team you:

  • Want to delight customers, above and beyond the call of duty
  • Have intimate knowledge of our policies in order to respond to customer queries
  • Have empathy for the customers situation and talk in a way the customer can understand
  • Have a "thick skin" and are able to handle complaints, even when handling unpleasant customers
  • Are able to use automated information systems to analyze and record the customers situation
  • Publish each deal through our content management system with sharp attention to detail to minimize errors
  • Liaise with production, development and sales to ensure a good customer and merchant experience
  • Are able to suggest improvements based on customer feedback (eg. website, FAQ, deal info, etc.)
  • Are happy to do other administrative tasks or special projects as required

Qualifications:

  • You can work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment that requires people to be flexible and go above and beyond
  • A 2 year diploma or a high school diploma and 2+ years experience in a customer service/admin role
  • Comfortable working in Word and Excel; basic HTML skills and experience with automated information systems an asset
  • A laptop and cell phone for work use
  • You have great interpersonal skills both in person and on the phone
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely organized
  • Ability to quickly learn and recall information
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve on a daily basis
  • A love for your green city!
