Position Overview:
The initial appointment shall be for 1 year with a possible 1 year extension based upon performance evaluation and continuity of funding. In particular, candidates with a strong interest in creative methods for large scale nanofabrication are encouraged to apply (Be specific describing experience with polymer patterning, reactive ion etching, nanoimprint, etc).
Qualifications:
Candidates with a PhD in materials chemistry and engineering, or the physical sciences, and with a strong background in materials nanofabrication and nanopatterning are sought to assume a leadership role in an NSF funded collaboration between chemistry (Ed Samulski), physics (Rene Lopez), and applied mathematics (Sorin Mitran) at the University of North Carolina.
Compensation: Salary is competitive and will reflect prior research experience.
