EnerNOC unlocks the full value of energy management for our utility and commercial, institutional, and industrial (C&I) customers by reducing real-time demand for electricity, increasing energy efficiency, improving energy supply transparency in competitive markets, and mitigating emissions. We accomplish this by delivering world-class energy management applications including:

- CarbonSMARTTM, enterprise carbon management
Our Energy Network Operations Center (EnerNOC) supports these applications across thousands of C&I customer sites throughout the world. Using our C&I customers' energy usage flexibility, we make capacity, energy, ancillary services, and carbon products available to grid operators and our more than 100 utility customers on demand as a cost-effective alternative to traditional power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Position Overview:
EnerNOC is seeking a Senior Specialist for its brand management team who will be responsible for driving the EnerNOC brand identity and suite of brands by ensuring all messaging communicates a consistent and compelling value proposition and resonates with our key buyer personas to drive purchase decisions.
This is achieved by working closely with the field marketing and sales teams to ensure the marketing team is fully aligned in developing world class campaign content and collateral including case studies, sales presentations, customer FAQs, newsletters etc. Key measures of success include brand equity tracking to ensure our attributes are key levers in driving perception and penetration, and customer surveys to ensure all touch points to customers are consistent in delivering the EnerNOC experience. In addition to messaging, this includes ensuring all visual identity and design elements reinforce our brand by working closely with our senior designer.
Responsibilities:
- Help refine and reinforce our brand identity, brand architecture, and brand strategy to ensure a clear and consistent brand promise, brand vision, brand position, and value proposition in pursuit of achieving our overall business objectives
- Engage, inspire and galvanize the organization around the brand vision, position and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise
- Lead and support brand strategy discussions across different EnerNOC stakeholder groups
- Work collaboratively with the marketing communications team to execute external materials consistent with a determined communications hierarchy and a global style guide
- Conduct analysis and periodical reviews of the brand, competitive, category, customer and consumer trends to enhance the brand's equity and marketplace performance
- Spearhead customer insight function, including focus groups, customer satisfaction surveys, and blue sky round tables to drive understanding of our customers and markets into our marketing and communications activities
- Lead brand planning process by developing and executing annual brand target setting & innovation review and brand strategy review
