Marketing/Public Relations Intern

Vaha Sustainable Energy is an energy optimization company that specializes in solar power installations, energy efficiency consulting and LEED certification for commercial and industrial clients in Southern California.

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a marketing and PR intern who will assist us with the preparation and implementation of our company's marketing plan as well as the PR efforts with our clients' projects.

Responsibilities: 

The tasks include:

1. Market Research on solar power systems including new technology, pricing and competitive analysis 
2. SWOT analysis
3. Assisting with the marketing and sales strategy
4. Assisting with writing and issuing press releases as well as media outreach for coverage, which includes print, radio and TV
5. Blogging, tweeting, Facebook activities and LinkedIn call-outs as needed. 

Qualifications:

1. Graduated or senior student at a marketing or communications program from a reputable college. MBA students and/or professionals with a few of years of field experience are highly preferred.
2. Have some work experience in market research, marketing plans, media outreach through prior internships and/or jobs.
3. Strong knowledge of social network media
4. Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
5. Basic understanding of solar power, energy efficiency and green buildings.
