Position Overview:
Steinberg Architects is currently seeking a Senior Residential Designer to work directly with the Senior Principal of the Residential Studio on a highly visible, very fast paced, mixed use urban village in China. Building types include eight 30 and 40 story residential towers, a multi-storied retail complex, a sustainable earth roofed community building, as well as low-rise villas and associated landscape.
Qualifications:
Applicant requirements include:
- Substantial and recent (last 5 years) experience with residential building types.
- Ability to generate design parti and concepts and have strong master planning skills.
- Should be facile in graphic and verbal communication with the ability to present designs and ideas.
- Requires strong graphics and computer skills.
- Requires the ability to individually initiate design concepts and alternatives, as well as direct other team members.
Languages: Mandarin desirable/not required.
