Position Overview:

As a Home Evolution Consultant you will combine your knowledge of building performance, residential building systems, energy and water conservation, sustainability with your analytical and communication skills to assist our clients in enhancing their homes through the sale of Habify's suite of products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform residential on-site Home "EVOreview" consultations with new clients.
  • Analyze client's home utility data, conduct walkthrough inspections of a client's homes to assess comfort, health, efficiency, sustainability and safety and review their goals and priorities with regard to their home.
  • Execute home performance testing and analysis including Blower Door Testing, Duct Blaster Testing, Infrared Thermography, HVAC performance testing, whole house computer energy modeling, Home Energy Rating System (HERS) index and ACCA Manual J Residential Load Calculations.
  • Conduct in-depth inspections of customer's homes which may include physically entering attics, crawlspaces or other non-habitable spaces.
  • Recommend specific products and services from Habify's offering to clients in a manner consistent with their goals and priorities for their home.
  • Have extensive knowledge of and communicate the key features, benefits and costs of each product or service offered by Habify.
  • Develop cost/benefit analysis and/or return on investment (ROI) calculations of recommended measures where appropriate.
  • Develop sales proposals, close transactions and collect payment customers
  • Install home comfort, safety and efficiency measures which may include but are not limited to LED Light Bulbs, Low Flow Water Fixtures, Thermostats, Power Strips, Child Safety measures or supervise the installation of measure by a Habify Field Implementation Assistant.
  • Work with Habify's strategic partners to ensure execution of outsourced services that we offer.
  • Conduct quality insurance through verifying installation, operations, and performance characteristics of any recommended measures.
  • Attend trainings and continuing education courses as required to obtain or maintain certification required by company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of direct experience in energy management, energy analysis, sustainability consulting, environmental science or a construction discipline.
  • Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC and lighting. Understanding of electric, gas and water rates, and have experience working with energy bills and energy billing.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a high level of integrity and accuracy in your reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, make intelligent risk and safety decisions and achieve project goals.
  • Certification as a BPI Building Analyst, Class 1HERS Rater or LEED AP is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with contractors (preferably residential &/or energy conservation) in the construction industry.

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with relevant skills and experience. Base salary range is $28,000-$40,000. Position is eligible for sales commissions, quarterly bonus based on meeting quantitative and qualitative performance goals. Benefit package includes paid vacation, health insurance and life insurance.
