We accomplish this by delivering world-class energy management applications including DemandSMARTTM, comprehensive demand response; EfficiencySMARTTM, data-driven energy efficiency; SupplySMARTTM, energy price and risk management; and CarbonSMARTTM, enterprise carbon management.

Our Energy Network Operations Center (EnerNOC) supports these applications across thousands of C&I customer sites throughout the world. Using our C&I customers' energy usage flexibility, we make capacity, energy, ancillary services, and carbon products available to grid operators and our more than 100 utility customers on demand as a cost-effective alternative to traditional power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Position Overview:

EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy efficiency solutions, has an immediate need for an Insight Analyst to join our world-class Energy Services team.  The Insight Analyst will conduct analysis related to the delivery of our EfficiencySMART Insight service, designed to enable real-time, actionable insight into energy usage across multiple facilities for EnerNOC's commercial, institutional, industrial and municipal customers.  Specific tasks include the design, development, and implementation, of baseline models and meter data analyses which help businesses identify opportunities for greater cost and usage efficiency. 

Working as part of a small team and with numerous teams and stakeholders, the Insight Analyst will also enjoy a chance to interact directly with customers in delivering the results of their analyses and serving as a conduit for feedback and suggestions that will in turn drive the continued enhancement of an exciting and influential energy efficiency product. This person will be directly involved refining one of EnerNOC's newest and most exciting products. This is a great opportunity for someone to help save large consumers energy while gaining experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development of the Insight product offering as needed
  • Contribute to the development of M&V plans
  • Help the Insight and Product Management teams to incorporate the analysis and baseline techniques into the Insight delivery platform
  • Assist with generating proposals and work on multiple or complex projects

Project Specific Tasks:

  • Use regression and inverse modeling techniques to develop energy baselines for Insight customers
  • Conduct energy efficiency and meter data analyses of building and facility systems using appropriate analytical tools
  • Present results to customers and act as a conduit for customer feedback and suggestions
  • Assist in Insight Analytics support with customer expectation setting during the deployment process

General Responsibilities:

  • Attend skills training and meetings as required
  • Compile related reports and data sheets as required
  • Initiate QA/QC processes as needed

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 2 years prior experience in conducting energy analysis.  Strong analytical skills, customer service, written and verbal communication and the ability to continually and effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities will be integral to success in this position.
