Our Energy Network Operations Center (EnerNOC) supports these applications across thousands of C&I customer sites throughout the world. Using our C&I customers' energy usage flexibility, we make capacity, energy, ancillary services, and carbon products available to grid operators and our more than 100 utility customers on demand as a cost-effective alternative to traditional power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Position Overview:
EnerNOC, a leading provider of energy management solutions, has an immediate need for an Associate Product Manager. As a member of our Product Management team, you will help shape the future and vision of EnerNOC's growing energy efficiency platform. You will work directly with our customers, engineers, energy analysts, and members of our Field Operations and Sales teams to gather requirements and define customer needs. You will ensure those needs are addressed by participating as an active member of the development team. Simply stated, you will help build exceptional products that are used by thousands of people on a daily basis to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
Responsibilities:
Based in EnerNOC's Boston headquarters, your responsibilities as Associate Product Manager will include the following:
- Providing a voice for the customer in the development process
- Working on a cross functional Agile development team, releasing new software every 2 months
- Meeting with clients and internal stakeholders to define feature requests
- Prioritizing feature requests to meet the objectives of the team
- Performing demonstrations on the benefits of the product capabilities for external and internal audiences
- Working with the product management team to manage the innovation management process
- Developing business plans for compelling new product concepts
- Defining and managing the details of the product roadmap
Qualifications:
- 2 -5 years in software management arena
- Bachelor of Science degree
- Experience working in SCRUM or Agile Software development shop a plus
- Experience in energy management or utility industries a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Strong software demonstration skills
- Creativity is welcome
