Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD Draftsman

Hydro Green Energy, LLC is a for profit renewable energy project developer and integrator that designs, builds, and operates hydro power projects that generate electricity at existing dams without having to construct new dams.

Our headquarters are in Houston, TX.

Position Overview:

Create drawings for rotating hydraulic equipment (turbines) using Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD.

Responsibilities:

• Generate 3-D and 2-D CAD modeled mechanical drawings.
• Produce machining and assembly drawings from verbal or supplied hand sketches.
• Use Autodesk Inventor to run structural analysis of design.
• Take instructions from supervisor and design engineers to complete drawing projects.
• Use initiative to research problems and implement solutions.
• Create bills of material and purchase data sheets for new and expanded product offerings.
• Assure drawings are compliant to industry standards.
• Work with and support other engineering staff and company employees.
• Respond to questions from others regarding drawing details.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results needed.

Qualifications:

Proficient with 3D CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor and 2-D CAD drafting formats, team player, good design skills, good understanding of mechanical drawing practices, practical knowledge of castings, machining and assembly processes, good verbal and written communication skills, strives to produce a quality service.

• 2-4 years minimum related experience in documentation of parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD- Inventor experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation: This is a part time to full time position. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. Hours are flexible during normal business hours. Pay is $25.00 per hour.
