Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) (NYSE: OFC) is a specialty office real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company acquires, develops, manages and leases properties which are typically concentrated in large office parks primarily located adjacent to government demand drivers and/or in growth corridors. The Company's portfolio primarily consists of technically sophisticated buildings in visually appealing settings that are environmentally sensitive, sustainable and meet unique customer requirements.
We are currently seeking a "Director of Sustainability" for our Columbia, MD location.
Position Overview:
Responsible for developing and implementing company sustainability strategies encompassing COPT activities in property management, development, construction, acquisitions and leasing. The major components of the strategies include: Energy Efficiency, Carbon Management, Innovations in Technology, Employee Education, a Communication Plan and the Tenant Experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Sustainability or Environmental Science.
- Advance Degree or equivalent MBA in Real Estate or Sustainability preferred. LEED AP designation required.
- Minimum of 10 ten years of relevant experience in real estate development, architecture, property management or engineering with a minimum of 3 years leading sustainable business practices required.
