Description
The U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization of over 16,000 corporate and organizational members from every sector of the building industry united to transform the building marketplace to sustainability, is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual with outstanding interpersonal skills to provide high-quality support to the LEED for Homes Green Building Certification program.
Position Overview:
The Residential Program Associate is an entry-level position that will be responsible for marketing and customer service initiatives relating to LEED for Homes products and services as well as several operational functions including LEED for Homes registration and certification data management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage registered and certified project database
- Analyze and report on LEED for Homes program data for internal and external use
- Implement marketing initiatives, including writing monthly newsletters and managing the @LEEDforHomes twitter feed
- Answer non-technical phone and email inquiries related to LEED for Homes
- Assist in the maintenance of web pages associated with the LEED for Homes program
- Contribute to developing the LEED for Homes marketing outreach
- Provide administrative support the LEED for Homes Provider network
- Prepare and track certification notifications for certified projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Training Requirements/Preferences:
- Bachelors degree in a related building industry or environmental discipline
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year relevant professional office experience
Other Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong writing skills; marketing writing experience a plus
- Marketing, customer service, organization, and computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of HTML and/or content management systems
- Ability to work efficiently and multitask
- Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Commitment to the USGBC mission
