Position Overview:
Train wind energy entry level and intermediate level technicians in technical theory and safety. Presentations would be in class room, laboratory and job site environment. Candidate must be able to conduct training in a structured, formal and systematic manner. Candidate must be able to design training documentation, class exercises, and visual aids, facilitator guides for in class settings containing 12 or less trainees. Candidate must be able to monitor, update and revise curriculums as directed and appropriate to ensure training content is current and up-to-date.
Continuously update skills and industry knowledge to support training. Candidate must have experience in training administration. This position requires strong communication skills with knowledge of electrical and mechanical skill sets and a familiarity with analytical concepts.

Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will possess at least 2+ years experience developing/delivering training in a technical environment, as well as experience developing/delivering training, measuring results. The individual must feel comfortable utilizing computer based training tools and designing the training around those delivery methods. This individual should possess superior oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, logical, and methodological in approaching problem-solving. Candidate will need to provide demonstrated capability to work collaboratively and cross. Technically proficient using Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 2 years technical training experience in class room, field or lab environment
- Instruct participants using an appropriate mix of media and methods including, but not limited to:
- Classroom presentations,
- Skill practice activities
- Electrical Understanding
- Electrical safety
- Multi-media self-study. - Strong communication / presentation skills
- Strong understanding of adult learning techniques
- Ability present in a professional and engaging manner
- Conduct follow up evaluations to determine effectiveness of documented processes, course materials, and delivery.
- Skilled in MS Word formatting, PowerPoint animation development
- Ability to partner with subject matter experts to research, design, and develop training solutions
- Physically capable and comfortable working in and on wind turbine towers at heights up to 300 feet
- Strong understanding of electrical laws and principles of electronics
- AAS degree or equivalent experience in the electrical field
A plus to have:
- Wind energy generation experience
- Knowledge of PLCs, AC and DC motors, switch gear
- Working at Height Experience
- Experience with flash implementation
- Experience writing / designing instructional materials for various forms of delivery: instructor-led, CBT, and self-paced training
- Formal military training experience
- Strong safety background
- CPR training certified
