Position Overview:

Incumbent will manage and direct the design, development, and execution of pilot and new technical projects and will provide technical expertise in various capacities in the areas of residential and non-residential energy efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the design and development of new proposals/projects/programs:

  • a. Design and develop new programs and proposals, qualifications and implementation
  • b. Compile cost data and savings analysis for new proposals
  • c. Provide input into RFP responses
  • d. Oversee the design of program processes, tools, forms, and other resources

2. Manage Pilot and/or Special Projects:

  • a. Provide technical project implementation and technical information support to new and/or pilot programs and projects.
  • b. Manage the progress, budgets, deliverables and reporting of projects under the Technical Research & Development Division.

3. Provide Technical Expertise:

  • a. Oversee the development of installation standards.
  • b. Coordinate with Engineering Team to implement new technologies, programs, and program delivery mechanisms.
  • c. Oversee and conduct the research in response to client requests.
  • d. Provide technical support and representation at stakeholder meetings.

4. Support Technical Training:

  • a. Assist in the development and delivery of project/program specific training in multiple mediums (online, in person, facilitated, and hybrid).
  • b. Attend technical trainings, industry conferences and trade shows.

5. Manage and Develop Staff:

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business Administration or Bachelors Degree in related field.
  • 5 years experience managing technical projects.
  • 3 years experience in management and supervision of diverse project teams, personnel.
  • 2 years experience in the delivery of trainings, training curriculum or technical presentations preferred.
  • 3 years experience working with residential and commercial building contractors conducting energy-efficient retrofits or new construction projects.
  • Ability to transfer technical information and policy requirements into practical implementation strategies of energy efficiency projects and programs.
  • Knowledge of energy engineering principles, building science, state and national energy standards and building codes.
  • Understanding of water conservation strategies and program development preferred.
  • Highly effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Dynamic verbal communication skills for training program delivery, public outreach, and presentations.
  • Strong conflict resolution and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) and other computer programs for building analysis and modeling.
  • Have access to reliable vehicle with proper licensing and insurance.
