Description
A young, vibrant, and experienced energy efficient lighting company based in Palm Beach County, FL is looking for a full-time, self-starting, highly motivated outside sales professional to focus on growing sales of complete turn-key energy efficient lighting solutions for commercial businesses in the south Florida region. We specialize in the following:
- Decreasing utility and maintenance costs
- Increasing light quality of facilities
- Efficient lighting design: new and existing buildings
- Financial and environmental analysis of energy efficient solutions
- Consultation on available rebates, incentives, and efficiency related tax deductions
- Financing for energy efficiency projects
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell company products and services to CEO's, CFO's, facility managers, business owners, and property owners.
- Exceed a structured sales quota
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity and website leads.
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to associations and groups.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum position requirements include:
- 4-year degree in finance, sales, marketing, general business. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
- Strong sales skills with a 5+ year track record of continually growing sales and meeting assigned goals
- An outgoing and engaging personality
- Willingness to meet quotas and continually build the sales region
- Ability to call and arrange meetings with new prospects
- Skills in networking and developing long term customer relationships
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Have a reliable vehicle with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills
- An established record of teamwork, productivity, and fair-play
- Excellent professional and personal references
- Desire to help build and manage a sales team with successful company growth
- Willingness to be open, flexible, and learn new concepts quickly
- 50%+ travel throughout the south Florida region
Ideal candidate skills and knowledge:
- Graduate business degree, MBA
- Experience in commercial lighting, electrical, or construction sales
- Knowledge of financing, payback, technical energy efficiency analysis
- Strong organizational skills and high proficiency with personal computers (PC - Microsoft Office)
- Passionate about saving energy, money, and the environment
Additional Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
Compensation: We are offering a competitive base plus commission compensation package with benefits.
