Position Overview:
We're looking for an Analyst with an interest and background in building sciences to assist us in evaluating energy efficiency programs, as well as conducting market research in the energy field in our Oakland California office. The Analyst will work with Opinion Dynamics' current electric and gas utility clients throughout the country. This position involves conducting quantitative survey research, as well as the ability to conduct and analyze in-depth interviews with contractors, engineers and architects.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include developing survey instruments, conducting depth interviews, analyzing survey results, examining savings estimates, and drafting reports. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking, reporting and analysis capability, excellent organizational skills, an ability to think out of the box, and an ability to work both independently and in groups. Experience with program evaluation, statistics, survey design or energy efficiency and energy systems is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- A minimum of 2-4 years work experience preferably in the energy efficiency, public policy or market research fields.
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to use SPSS or STATA statistical software (or ability to learn)
- Interest in energy efficiency and program evaluation.
