Position Overview:
The position carries responsibility for market and industry research into the current status and prospects for the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry. PV is the fastest growing renewable energy source.
You will utilize your market and industry research skills to make a material contribution to the content of Solarbuzz's industry-leading reports. These reports are utilized by most of the major PV manufacturer multi-nationals, blue chip financial institutions, other solar companies through the business chain and new entrants to the industry.
You will be part of a small and highly professional, energetic consultancy team that is the leading research and consultancy company to the global PV industry. You will be expected to work proficiently with highly dynamic and rapidly growing PV companies and organizations both in the US and worldwide.
Responsibilities:
The role will focus on researching, analyzing and reporting US PV market development and evaluation of financial performance of PV companies worldwide, as well as monitoring key global industry indicators.
Research will include direct discussions with PV companies and also online research. Participation at industry exhibitions conferences can be expected.

- Analytical - able to research the details, while being able to see the "bigger picture"
- Inquisitive with excellent research abilities
- Highly numerate
- Demonstrated report writing skills with an excellent standard of written English
- Energetic, enthusiastic positive self-starter
- Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
- Able to meet clear deadlines
- Highly articulate and professional.
Education, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance
- Up to 3 years of business experience; renewable energy industry background an advantage
- Market research, energy technology or financial background an advantage.
- Languages: verbal/reading foreign language skills are an advantage
- Proficient with MS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Prior consultancy experience not essential.
