Description
SCC Americas is the US subsidiary of Sindicatum Carbon Capital (SCC). SCC is a principal investor and operator of clean energy projects which either directly abate, or otherwise displace or avoid, GHG emissions. We use our own expertise and capital to develop projects from conception through to implementation and long-term operation.
Our long-term strategy is to create value from the mitigation of climate change and promotion of sustainable development through the beneficial utilization of waste products. The sustainable resources we aim to create include, on a portfolio basis, environmental commodities or products (such as carbon credits and RECs) as well as clean energy and physical commodities such as bio-fuels and products manufactured from agricultural waste.
We work in partnership with companies and governments to deliver cost effective means by which to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Our investors include 3 leading US university endowments, 5 prominent US charitable foundations, and global financial institutions representing the commodity, banking, insurance, and alternative investment sectors.
