The Green Jobs Act of 2008 created the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to accelerate job growth and economic development in the state's clean energy industry.
The MassCEC serves as a clearinghouse and support center for the clean energy sector. The MassCEC:
- Supports the development of renewable energy resources in Massachusetts.
- Makes direct investments in new and existing companies.
- Promotes training programs to build a strong clean energy workforce that capitalizes on the job opportunities created by a vital new industry.
MassCEC is committed to leveraging the Commonwealth's outstanding resources in academic research, technology entrepreneurship and workforce skills to accelerate growth of the clean energy industry and increase the amount of renewable energy generated in the state. The result of these efforts will be new technologies, new companies, and a workforce ready to roll up its sleeves to ensure Massachusetts' place as a national clean energy hub.
Position Overview:
Seeks Program Associate to assist project managers and project administrators with routine activities associated with the initiatives of the On-Site Renewable Energy Program (OREP).
Responsibilities:
The OREP Program Associate will assist project managers and project administrators with routine activities associated with the initiatives of the OREP Program. Specific activities may include the following:
- Informational support to potential applicants to OREP Initiatives. Respond to phone and email inquiries seeking information about how to access rebate or grant funds for potential renewable energy projects, primarily Solar PV projects. Maintain a record of this activity to monitor and evaluate trends.
- Data support activities such as data collection, data entry into various databases, and development of internal reports.
- Logistical support for meetings and conferences including external reviews, stakeholder meetings, installer workshops, and advisory committee meetings.
- Review of deliverables received from grant participants including final reports and invoice back up data.
- Development of standardized templates to assist in program reporting (typically using Word and Excel).
- Development of promotional materials regarding the Initiatives, including developing web content, hard-copy handout materials, and PowerPoint presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required along with previous experience demonstrating superior customer service and administrative skills.
