The Green Engineer, LLP is a sustainable design consulting firm in Concord, MA with expertise in cost effective, high-performance design. We work with architects, builders, commercial owners, non-profits and the government sector to provide consulting services around sustainable building design, LEED certification, energy modeling, and more.
Position Overview:
The Green Engineer, LLP, seeks an individual with an interest in sustainable building design and construction to join our team as a Project Manager for Sustainable Design Consulting.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Manage all aspects of the LEED process on projects ranging from small commercial tenant fit-outs to multi-million dollar new construction projects. This includes assisting team members with the documentation process and reviewing documentation.
- Facilitate sustainable design charrettes for LEED and non-LEED projects.
- Research green building technologies, trends, materials, etc.
- Review project drawings and specifications for consistency with sustainability goals and LEED requirements.
- Work with building owners to develop programs and policies, including educational materials, to support sustainable building operations.
- Participate in business development efforts including proposal writing and marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Policy, or similar program.
- at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- LEED Accredited Professional with experience on one or more LEED projects; experience on multiple projects preferred.
- Familiarity with "Green Building" practices, policies, technologies, etc.
- Strong time and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work well independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
