Position Overview:

JBR Environmental Consultants is a rapidly expanding Environmental Consulting firm with ten offices throughout the West. JBR is looking to hire a part to full time Marketing Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for our dynamic, growing Lynnwood, Washington office. Experience within the Environmental, Architecture, Engineering, or other consulting industries is a strong plus.

This position will provide marketing and business development support for our Washington office which currently includes seven professionals (and additional staff working remotely). As the office grows, our professionals wear many hats, and we're looking for someone who can do the same. This position will report directly to the Seattle Office Manager, but may provide additional assistance to regional offices, and will be provided guidance by the Corporate Marketing Department.

This is a part-time position with an expected schedule of 20-30 hours per week. The actual hours per week are flexible depending on the candidate selected. If the position consistently requires more than 30 hours per week, the position will change to a full time, benefitted position.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing submittals to qualify for state and local agency vendor rosters
  • Designing, formatting, and finalizing proposal submittals
  • Creating marketing materials, from tear sheets to Statements of Qualification (SOQs)
  • Tracking, managing, and updating marketing information from contact lists, to resumes, to project descriptions
  • Tracking marketing opportunities and proposal submittals, and collecting and providing debrief information
  • Assisting with general document preparation and formatting, from reports to correspondence.
  • Maintaining office supply inventories and coordinating new orders when needed.
  • Filing/organization
  • Coordinating mailing/shipments as needed

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of technical proposal and marketing material preparation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, a must
  • 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably within the environmental consulting field
  • Bachelors degree in English, Journalism or Marketing (or related field), desired
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, required
  • Proficiency in Adobe programs, PageMaker, and other marketing programs a plus
  • Knowledge of the marketing functions in Deltek Vision, a plus
