ERS is a progressive energy engineering and consulting firm based in Haverhill, Massachusetts with other offices around the country. Our experienced staff is made up of Certified Energy Managers (CEMs), Professional Engineers (PEs), and LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs).

We serve clients regionally, nationally, and internationally, and our areas of specialization include assessment and implementation of energy projects; development of analytical tools and database software systems for project energy analysis and utility program management; custom design; technology assessment; industrial process assessment; premium efficiency lighting design; and energy code compliance. 

Position Overview: 

The energy field is growing rapidly, and ERS is growing right along with it.  We currently have Mid to Senior Level Energy Efficiency Engineer positions open in the Portland, OR and Manhattan, NY areas.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have 2-5 years of energy efficiency engineering experience with industrial manufacturing operations, commercial building systems, and new building construction. We are looking for candidates that have significant experience in several of the following areas:

  • Energy Efficiency and Building Use Modeling and Simulation
  • HVAC System Assessment and Analytical Modeling
  • Demand Management and Demand Response
  • State-of-the-Art Lighting Design M&V
  • Building Simulation and Energy Modeling
  • Architectural Engineering, Building Science, Sustainable Practices
  • Building Commissioning/Retro-Commissioning Services
  • Comprehensive Energy Assessments and Analyses
  • Efficiency Program Design and Implementation
  • High Performance and Green Buildings/LEED Certification
  • Industrial Process Efficiency and Productivity
  • Compressed Air Supply and Demand-Side Enhancements
  • Renewable Energy Technologies (photovoltaics, wind, distributed generation, etc.)
  • Successful applicants will also have experience conducting and/or directing site surveys, performing measure analyses, and preparing comprehensive reports detailing analytical findings.
  • The ability to work closely with customers, vendors, and efficiency program administrators is essential, and any business development, construction administration, design, and/or project management skills are a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, and a MS in Mechanical Engineering and/or PE and CEM credentials are desirable for senior-level positions.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills are mandatory.
