Description

Carleton College is a highly selective, private liberal arts college located 45 miles south of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area.   

The central mission of Carleton's Environmental Studies Program is to educate the next generation of environmental scholars and professionals in the fundamental scientific, ecological, social, ethical, political, and economic forces that govern environmental issues and the long-term quality and viability of society.

Position Overview: 

The Carleton Environmental Studies program invites applications to fill a visiting position during spring term of 2009-2010.  This term runs from late March until early June of 2010.  The faculty member in this position will teach one introductory undergraduate course in sustainable architectural design. 

Qualifications: 

Candidates should have experience with or demonstrated interest in green architecture, and a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts setting.  Prior teaching experience at the college level is preferred.  Candidates should have either a graduate degree in architecture, or a significant track record of experience as a practicing architect.
