Position Overview: 

Green-e seeking a part-time or full-time intern to assist with various research and outreach-related activities.  As the nation's leading independent consumer protection program for the sale of renewable energy and greenhouse gas reductions in the retail market, Green-e offers certification and verification of renewable energy and greenhouse gas mitigation products.  It is a program of Center for Resource Solutions (CRS).

The Green-e Intern will be expected to help Green-e by researching potential program partners and participants and provide background information for new initiatives.  Ideal candidates will be able to work 20-40 hours per week for 12-16 weeks and start as soon as possible. 

Responsibilities: 

Intern should expect to split time amongst the following activities:

Utility Research (40%): 

Intern will be evaluating and researching electric utilities, availability of green pricing programs, and overlaying information on state renewable energy mandates to assist Green-e with outreach. 

Renewable Energy Purchaser Research (50%): 

Intern will perform research to identify a broad base of companies that are currently using or purchasing renewable energy for their operations.  Intern will also research and evaluate international options for purchasing renewable energy.

Partnership Research (10%): 

Intern will evaluate partnership opportunities with other environmentally focused organizations to assist in the promotion of CRS's "Buy Clean Energy" Earth Day 2010 Campaign.

Other tasks and projects may be available given the interest and availability of the intern.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent research skills, organizational skills, Microsoft Excel and SalesForce competency, and a passion for renewable energy.

Compensation: This is a volunteer internship.  The intern is expected to work from the CRS office in the Presidio of San Francisco the majority of the time, and limited remote work is a possibility.
