Program Coordinator

BREATHE LA's mission is to promote clean air and healthy lungs through research, education and technology.

Responsibilities:

BREATHE LA seeks a Program Coordinator with community education and resource development experience to:

• Coordinate health education in environmental and lung health programs
• Outreach to and support sites in program implementation
• Assume leadership role in county and national coalitions
• Build multi-organization involvement in and support
• Play integral role in writing grants, articles, and reports
• Network with community colleges and other entities for program success

Qualifications: 

Specific skills:

• Community Health Education experience
• Community Outreach
• Workshop Management; train the trainer experience
• Project coordination
• Grant and report writing, data collection
• Participation in coalitions
• Youth Leadership or involvement in aging population health initiatives
• Collaboration with agency public health and school networks
• Agency inter-departmental collaboration

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in public health or environment, Masters preferred in Public Health or related field.
• 1-2 years experience.
