SD Keppler & Associates (SDK), based in Rockville, MD, is an established east coast leader in providing sustainable design, building commissioning, and LEED certification consulting services. There is a new demand for the sustainable design consulting, commissioning, and environmental certification facilitation and SDK is currently experiencing significant growth in the entire Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. As the LEED NC, CS, and EB Green Building Rating System continues to gain importance and publicity, we are confident there will be a demand for new, green, high profile, new and existing commercial and institutional buildings.
Position Overview:
SD Keppler is looking to hire an Administrative/Marketing Assistant to play a vital role in supporting and maintaining organizational growth. We are looking for an energetic candidate to become an integral part of our team, providing support for staff, marketing, and operations. This position will assure the smooth functioning of day to day company operations. The right candidate will be a team-oriented individual who can work well with minimal supervision in a small office environment. Strong professional skills and a positive, flexible, attitude are essential.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities and some example tasks are as follows:
1. Provide administrative assistance to the President and Project Managers
- Front desk position, handle all incoming inquiries to the main line and email
- Handle and process mail, incoming and outgoing
- Report and deliverable QC
- Development and upkeep of company templates
- Typing and special project support (creation of specification, presentations, handouts, etc).
2. Provide marketing and sales support
- Website updates
- Proposal preparation
- Special Piece research, coordination and production
- Presentation assistance, company research
- Drafting of press release, articles, etc
3. Develop and coordinate office operations:
- Main contact for IT support
- Office supply maintenance and coordination
- Office move support (if applicable)
4. Provide human resources support:
- New employee setup
- Benefits research
5. Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Required:
- Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)- Intermediate to advanced
- Experience managing multiple, complex projects/tasks
- Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
- Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and work with a variety of people and achieve results.
- Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with others.
- Passionate about sustainability a plus
Desired:
- Microsoft Publisher/ design software
- Website development
Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience. The position is full time, M-F. The company offers competitive salary and vacation package; employer sponsored retirement savings program, as well as health benefits package.
