Description

The Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC) is currently sponsoring an internship program for college students and recent graduates who are interested in gaining an educational experience in a world-class marine facility.  The Alaska SeaLife Center is dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation, conservation and public education.

Position Overview: 

We are currently accepting applications for summer 2010.  Opportunities are available in the following areas:

  • Interpretation: Avian
  • Interpretation: Mammals
  • Interpretation: Dive
  • Interpretation: National Park Service
  • Marine Climate Change
  • Marine Spatial Planning
  • Fundraising/Public Relations
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Harbor Seal Research
  • Steller Video Monitoring: Chiswell Project
  • Avian Husbandry
  • Eider (Sea Duck) Husbandry
  • Aquarium Husbandry
  • Marine Animal Stranding Program

Compensation: ASLC internships offer a well-rounded, educational experience working in a variety of areas within the Center.  The Alaska SeaLife Center provides interns with complimentary housing and a small food stipend.
