Description

The Urban Green Council, New York chapter of the US Green Building Council, a nonprofit organization working to advance sustainable buildings, currently has excellent opportunities for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in being part of the growing green building environment.

Responsibilities:

Our part-time fall interns will be responsible for assisting in event support, membership/development, fundraising needs and specials projects that are geared towards chapter growth.  These interns will also provide administrative support to the Urban Green Council staff, including assistance with calls, email traffic and other general administrative tasks.  Candidates should have the ability to work well with a diverse staff, volunteers, take on special projects and work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree highly desirable; college seniors will also be considered
  • Understanding or interest in green building and environmental issues
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and design skills

Candidates must be available 2-3 full days per week.  Fall Internship is from September 8 to December 18.
