Position Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Accountant who will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting including general accounting functions, compliance with company policies and procedures, GAAP, and all other applicable regulations and guidelines. The position will actively assist the Controller in key financing and strategic controls and is expected to be self-sufficient in performing the duties of the job.

Responsibilities:

  1. General accounting operations, month-end close and financial reporting
  2. Aid in the management of purchase orders, sales orders, invoicing, and order fulfillment processes
  3. Developing, revising, and reporting on the budget and any re-forecasts
  4. Manage the Company's receivables, payables and cash positions, and prepare cash flow analysis
  5. Aid in the quarterly and annual audit processes with the Company's outside auditors
  6. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the finance team and senior operating executives and help identify and develop solutions to a full-range of business problems
  7. Assist in preparing the Company's consolidated and departmental budgets and forecasts
  8. Help manage the Company's cost allocations and cash flow requirements, including working capital management, on a weekly and monthly basis
  9. Provide monthly updates on budget vs. actual costs, gross margins, inventory holding costs & allocations
  10. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all federal, state and local tax filings as well as compliance with all federal, state and local tax guidelines and requirements including the processing and filing for out of state payroll, revenue reporting, workers compensation and all sales and use tax filings for California and out of state filings.

Qualifications:

  1. BS/BA degree in Accounting and/or Finance and 1 to 3 years relevant experience
  2. Proficiency in PC-based software applications Quickbooks, Netsuite and/or Microsoft Excel
  3. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, analytical and time management skills
  4. Ability to interact effectively with all levels
  5. Upbeat, friendly and "can do" attitude
  6. Interest in renewable energy
  7. Fluent in Mandarin a plus but not required
