Renewable Analytics LLC (RA) is an industry research firm formed to address the underserved need for objective and timely supply chain research in the Solar Photovoltaic industry. Almost all of the research available in the market today is either investment banking driven or tends to focus on broad themes and long term trends. While silicon and module prices have risen consistently since March 2007, there are signs that pricing will be more dynamic in upcoming quarters and it will be very valuable to track these changes closely.
The founding team of Renewable Analytics has more than twenty years of combined relevant experience, including management in the solar industry, technology supply chain research, and fundamental analysis. As a team these individuals bring a deep network of contacts which touch all aspects of the industry, an ability to draw accurate conclusions with incomplete information, as well as anticipate likely future developments.
Position Overview:
RA is looking for a smart, reliable and trustworthy equity analyst to follow the Solar and Renewable Energy industry. Primary responsibilities will be building bottom-up financial models. The role requires an individual with exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities. In addition to modeling the analyst will be expected to proactively develop industry relationships.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience on the buy-side, sell-side or in investment banking is a MUST. (preferably in tech/solar).
- Excellent modeling and financial statement analysis skills. Must have a high degree of ease with numbers, and an excellent memory for previous changes. Please do not send a resume unless you have considerable modeling experience and expertise.
- Must have an interest in technology changes as well as the geopolitical drivers behind the move to renewable energy. A high level of intellectual curiosity is a must.
- Ability to synthesize data from numerous inputs into a logical, distilled conclusion.
- Ambition to advance past junior analyst role regardless of compensation.
- Team player and capable of ultimately leading an organization. Sense of humor/affable disposition.
- Strong academic history.
- Ability to make an immediate impact on an already successful organization.
- Passion for investing and the investment business.
Compensation: Salary $65000
