Fuel Cell Today is looking for someone unique, talented and ambitious to join its growing, internationally-renowned team of fuel cell and hydrogen market analysts and consultants.

Responsibilities:

As a Market Analyst your key responsibilities will include:

1. working effectively within a small team, under minimum supervision, researching and preparing data, forecasts and reports on developments in the fuel cell industry and its markets,
2. liaison with diverse stakeholders including government, financial and industry specialists, sponsors and advertisers, service providers and consultancy clients,
3. delivering analytical reports for Fuel Cell Today, the UK government's Fuel Cell Knowledge Transfer Network and writing copy for the high profile annual Fuel Cell Today Industry Review,
4. responding to internal and external client enquiries, helping to generate and service new consulting business, advertisers and sponsors,

Specific principal accountabilities of the role include being the primary consultant and point of contact for Europe; developing contact networks and business opportunities in this region to contribute to the long term FCT objectives; co-author of the annual Fuel Cell Today Industry Review; undertake the day-to-day administrative duties of the KTN and sourcing and writing the daily news.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest in the global geopolitics of energy and sustainable development. Experience in the fuel cell industry is not essential but you should demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm for developing a high level of expertise in fuel cell technologies. Candidates should have at least a first degree, or equivalent work experience, (a postgraduate qualification or PhD would be an advantage) and be prepared to travel internationally. 

Key competencies required are:

1. an established track record of data gathering and analysis, preferably with some experience of forecasting or modelling,
2. a high degree of self-motivation and the desire to make a difference,
3. a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver on multiple projects concurrently,
4. the ability to work well in a small and dynamic team with a highly organised approach.

This post is based at the FCT offices near Cambridge, UK, and is initially offered as a one year contract and will be reviewed after this period.

A valid UK work visa is required to be considered for this post.
